"We felt fortunate to have met three Americans at Bodega Las Marianas winery as we travelled N from Mendoza to San Juan and one of them, who's been living in SJ for a year, recommended El Lagar. We had a fabulous welcome from Mariam, the co-owner and chef, who introduced the concept and restaurant; we then had a delicious meal with some lovely fresh bread, preceded by a great cocktails: a Negroni and a Primavera San Juanina. It was quiet for a Thursday, but this meant we had time with the chef - thoroughly enjoyed..."
